Christie’s to host Dubai Elements of Style sale

Christie’s is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary auction in Dubai in style, with a sale of luxury handbags, jewelry, watches and accessories.
The Elements of Style auction will offer 150 lots “for discerning collectors who aspire to artistic and exquisite life style”.

For the first time in Dubai, the sale will offer a selection of 60 rare and exclusive designer handbags by the likes of Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Celine.

Standout lots from this selection will include a limited edition matte poussière alligator, tabac camel ostrich and sesame lizard grand marriage Birkin 35 bag valued at $45,000-$50,000; a 2012 bougainvillier niloticus Birkin 30 with gold hardware, estimated at $30,000-$40,000; a limited edition bleu saphir, bleu iris and bleu de malte ostrich ghillies Birkin with permabrass hardware, valued at $20,000-$30,000; and a matte dark green crocodile 2.55 double flap Chanel bag, made in 2011 and priced at $8,000-$10,000.

Notable lots withing the jewelry section include a Harry Winston 4.88 carat emerald and diamond ring estimated at $70,000-$100,000; a pair of drop ear pendants, made of cabochon opals, black onyx and circular-cut diamonds, priced at $15,000-$20,000; and an 8.25 carats cushion rose-cut diamond ring set by Sabbadini, estimated at $180,000-$250,000.

This section will also feature stylish timepieces such as a Cartier diamond-set Pascha wristwatch estimated at $40,000-$80,000, and a Cartier lady’s 18 carat gold diamond and ruby set watch, made circa 1990 and estimated at $30,000-$40,000.

Further notable pieces will include rare Montblanc fountain pens and Louis Vuitton travel luggage.

The Christie’s Elements of Style sale takes place on March 17.
