A new exhibition at London’s Design Museum will explore the 70-year history of the iconic Ferrari car brand.
Entitled ‘Ferrari: Under the Skin’, the exhibition will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s cutting-edge design, manufacturing and engineering.

The exhibition has been created in collaboration with Ferrari, and features early design models, drawings and historic archives material.

It will also offer an insight into the remarkable life of company founder Enzo Ferrari, whose passion for automobile racing drove him to success on and off the track.

Exhibits will include rare personal items, memorabilia from his celebrated racing career, hand-sculpted models, and documents which trace his initial visions from the page to the road.

And, because no exhibition on the world’s most famous car manufacturer would be complete without the cars themselves, visitors will also be greeted by some of the most stunning Ferraris ever built, from historic racers to modern-day hypercars.

"Ferrari’s story has been one of the great adventures of the industrial age," said exhibition curator Andrew Nahum.

"It also represents an absorbing case study in design and development. Ferrari uses the subtle and often unseen techniques of automobile design but with the utmost care and precision and the exhibition provides an insight into the history and practice of the whole private world of automotive design."

‘Ferrari: Under the Skin’ opens on November 15, 2017 and runs until April 15, 2018.
