Bonhams will offer a stunning pair of once-in-a-lifetime Porches in the forthcoming 2018 Scottsdale sale.
Described as “the ultimate pair of performance cars”, the two Porches – a 918 Spyder and a 911 R – feature matching serial numbers and are presented in virtually as-new condition.
The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, serial number 290, is one of only 294 U.S specification models ever produced, and comes complete with highly desirable Weissach wheels.
With a record-breaking 0-60mph time of 2.2 seconds, and less than 2,300 miles on the clock, the 918 Spyder would be the centrepiece of any supercar collection on its own.
But bidders also have the unique opportunity to pair it with an equally impressive 2016 Porsche 911 R, also bearing the serial number 290.
The 911 R is regarded by many as “the definitive road-going 911”, and comes with manual transmission and a rare Paint to Sample (PTS) colorway.
However, the most remarkable aspect of the car is its condition, having completed just 37 original miles from new.
"This is an incredible and historic opportunity in every way," says Bonhams Motoring Specialist Michael Camaino.
"First, a 918 Spyder and 911 R in such desirable specification are tremendously newsworthy on their own, but offered in nearly brand-new condition with matching serial numbers? It’s never been done and represents an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a collector."
This perfect pair will join a star-studded line-up in Scottsdale on January 18, which also includes an important 1958 Porsche 550A Spyder raced at Le Mans by the German manufacturer’s factory team.
