An upcoming sale at Heritage in New York will offer a sparkle of luxury amidst the winter gloom.
The sale features a rainbow of rare Hermès Crocodile Birkin bags, led by the most prized of all – a 30 cm Matte White Himalayan Nilo bag.
Complete with Palladium hardware, and offered in pristine condition, the bag is a must for any serious handbag collector and comes with an estimate of $60,000-$80,000.
Further rare Crocodile Birkin bags on offer include examples in Shiny Graphite ($345,000-$60,000); Matte Malachite ($40,000-$60,000); Shiny Vert Veronses ($36,000-$42,000); and Shiny Orange ($35,000-$45,000).
Other top lots from the exclusive French manufacturer include an Hermès Special-Order Horseshoe 30 cm Blue Electric & Blue Atoll Epsom Leather Birkin Bag with Gold Hardware, estimated at $20,000-24,000; an 18cm Diamond, Shiny Black Alligator Constance Bag with 18K Gold Hardware, estimated at $30,000-$40,000; a 32cm special order Shiny Blue Saphir, Blue Jean & Blue Marine Alligator Sellier Kelly Bag with Gold Hardware, valued at $20,000-$30,000; and a Shiny Amethyst Nilo Crocodile Jige Elan Clutch Bag, priced at $14,000-$18,000.

Notable lots include a limited edition Les Extraordinaires Collection Black Mink & Swarovski Crystal NN14 Feline PM Bag, one of only 10 examples made from Marc Jacobs’ final runway show at the house, estimated at $6,000-$8,000; and a Damier Ebene Canvas Trunk, Circa 1920’s, valued at $4,000-$6,000.
