A 2007 Ferrari once owned by new US President Donald Trump could top $1 million at auction in March.
The car is a Ferrari F430 in vibrant red-over-tan complete comes with a DJT numberplate and paperwork confirming his purchase of the car while he was living at 725 Fifth Avenue, New York, that’s Trump Tower. The papers are also signed by the returning President.
It’s a powerful machine with a 4.3-litre, V8 engine and a top speed of 196 mph with a 0 to 60 start time of 3.9 seconds.
It’s a car that will always be costly.
Online listings price comparable machines at around £75,000 to £115,000, a top price over $140,000.
But nothing succeeds like success, and the Trump ownership means Rockstar Car Auction have slapped a round $1 million estimate on the car.
Trump, who has driven himself and has a driver’s licence to complement years of limo and private jet travel, can now never drive again. Since 2016, he’s had US Secret Service protection and been subject to their rule that no president, vice president or former holders of those offices can drive.

As you would expect, he’s owned some extremely valuable and desirable cars in his time.
Among his motors are: a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a Silver Cloud, a Cadillac Allante, a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, a Tesla Roadster, and a Lamborghini Diablo.
That Lamborghini was auctioned in February last year, and realised $1.1 million, well over the usual $500,000 max expected for the marque and model. It had realised $460,000 in 2016.
This Ferrari was sold in 2021. Although no price is currently listed it is not in the Top 10 sales from that auction, which start just over $900,000. The car was sold in 2017 for $270,000.
Trump is now President again, and as a two-time holder of the office (only the second to return for non-concurrent terms) is more historically significant and more collectible.
Items associated with Trump, who is 78 years old, have increased in value considerably since his move from entertainment to politics and three election campaigns, two of which he won.
The price realised by this car will be a useful barometer of his current popularity and the mood in the explosively growing rare car market.
The online sale closes on March 9.
