A guitar broken as Oasis tore themselves apart in 2009 is set to auction on October 23 to 24.
The red Gibson ES-335 was used as a weapon by Liam Gallagher as he and brother Noel came to blows in the dressing rooms of the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
Liam chucked it on the floor and Noel “put it out of its misery”.
The show was cancelled and Noel announced the breakup of the band that night. They stayed apart until the opening show of their triumphant reunion tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium this summer.
Since its eventful night in Paris, the guitar has been repaired, and is now expected to make between £250,000 and £500,000 at PropStore’s Music Memorabilia sale.
It is being sold alongside a Takemime electro-accoustic guitar played by Noel Gallagher on the recording of Wonderwall.

That guitar also has a violent story. It was given to sound engineer Nick Brine (who is selling it now) as an apology after Liam broke one of Brine’s guitars because he thought it belonged to his brother.
Around 150 Oasis items are listed in the sale.
Music memorabilia is performing very well at the moment, and Oasis are moving into the top division of collectible artists.
The smashed Gibson sold for around £325,000 in Paris in 2022. An Epiphone Les Paul shown on the cover their debut single Supersonic made £132,000 at auction last year.
The publicity around the band’s reunion has boosted values.
Elsewhere in the sale catalogue, a pair of John Lennon’s glasses carry a £300,000 top estimate, and a Trevor Horn mixing desk is expected to make as much as £200,000.
